Armina stands out from the crowd with her beautiful hair, sharp purple-print jacket and gorgeous dark eyes. The vintage style camera strap and leather bag are great finishing touches. Of course she’s also a designer, check out her store: Yahghi.

Before he walked the runway for Redeem, DJ was still extremely stylish. The colorful woven bracelets and gold watch contrast sharply with his all white shirt and pants. Taken at the Mighty Aphrodite fashion show.

Ever wonder how to stand out in a room of fashionable people? Here’s your answer. We love the whole look, from the hot pink toes, to the oversize ‘El Sultan Carpet School’ bag and the single (!) huge bird feather earring. Taken at the Mighty Aphrodite fashion show.

Stephanie (center) and Kimee Brown (right) pose with makeup artist Michelle before the Mighty Aphrodite fashion show. We love the contrast of Michelle’s bright pink nail polish against her shoes and her bright magenta lips. Kimee’s outfit is so sensational we had to give it a separate blog post, which you can see here.

Kimee Brown mimics the pose of Karl Lagerfeld on her t-shirt, which is not even out yet (!!!). The T-shirt is Karl Lagerfeld for Impulse - only available at Macy’s starting August 31st. We also love the scarf, red blazer and her JC Shoes (seen Here).

A model shows off our favorite look from Palace 5 at the Mighty Aphrodite fashion show. We have always been a sucker for cardigans, but the stars of this look are the Herschel Claim pack in mustard and especially the TOMS Bleach Splatter Denim Men’s Cordones (which we must buy).

Dwayne Brice manager and associate buyer at Hu’s Wear and a principle at DNA Luxury stops to have his picture taken before entering the madness that was Mighty Aphrodite. We love the contrast of his electric blue bag, the easy draping on his blazer and the leopard print slip-on shoes!

Mighty Aphrodite Fashion/Art Show

Last Saturday night in Washington, DC felt like NYC in the 60’s. Many of the city’s most fashionable and creative people filled an oppressively hot, dimly lit, raw warehouse space to witness the beginning of something. The individuals behind DemiGODS teamed up with Quincy Jones and Khalil Muhsin (of Smith Commons) to throw the wildest fashion/art/fire-eater show ever seen in DC. You definitely had to be there to fully appreciate its magic.

The fashion show featured looks from Redeem, Tari, It’s Vintage Darling, and Palace 5, in addition to models climbing on scaffolding. We loved the energy of the event and have many more pictures to share over the coming week.
