Jamal wearing Aldo boots - we loved the way he styled them, with the tongues turned down and red laces that match the awesome striped socks

My favorite shot from Kate Warren’s photo set of the Tweed Ride. I’ve always loved paint on shoes…

Our friends at Columbian clothing brand A New Cross have made a beautiful video showcasing their fall/winter clothing. I love the moody lighting, great special effects and driving baseline. My heart started to race when I glimpsed the model’s shoes; they make such amazing shoes!
If you missed our coverage of the A New Cross fashion presentation you can find it HERE.
The collection is available exclusively at one of our favorite DC stores: Redeem.
Which one to choose? The Charlotte Olympia Ostrich Velvet Wedge Pump, worn by Aureta Thomollari, or the Christian Louboutin Hyper Prive pump, worn by Carla of TPWP. Both!

When we were asked to help host Redeem’s Fifth Year Anniversary party we didn’t hesitate to say yes. We were especially excited when we learned an exclusive collection from Colombian line “A New Cross” would be featured. There is so much to love about the unique designs of Nicolás Rivero and David Angel - the unisex styles, innovative & avant-garde silhouettes and handmade details of the collection are all exceptional (available only at Redeem). Last night, Jordan (from ReadysetDC) and I attended the CapFABB meetup and had the difficult task of picking our favorite stylish blogger among so many to win a backstage pass to the upcoming Fashion:District runway show. Katherine Martinez’s asymmetrical reconstructed top (her own design) caught my eye, but we loved the entire outfit and her unique style (her beautiful hair and face didn’t hurt either). You can see more of her designs at her store La Petite Marmoset (We’re looking forward to a replenished inventory!). The shoes at Yves Saint Laurent - Ready to Wear - Spring Summer 2012 were a big deal for us.
