CapFABB 1 Year Anniversary Celebration

Life without CapFABB in Washington DC is a distant memory. The one year anniversary party was a surprise because it felt like so much time had passed since we attended our first CapFABB event. I suppose DC style is now aging in dog years: as a group we have come light years from where we were just one year ago and CapFABB deserves considerable credit.

This event, sponsored by flower service H.BLOOM, and hosted by Cities Restaurant & Lounge was the most enjoyable event to datefas. Much of the fun should be attributed to the lethal (to fashion bloggers) combination of excellent cocktails, a make-your-own-arrangement flower bar, and a photo booth with instant print photos. CapFABB Meetup at Madewell

Being a fashion blogger can be a lonely and discouraging hobby. You take pictures of yourself, agonize over logos, social media, etc and then wonder if anyone is actually reading. Unless you live in or near DC… Then you have CapFABB, where you can attend one meetup and suddenly have 50 like-minded friends.

While we have attended enough of these to know many of the attendees, we always find a surprise at each event. Elizabeth and Lacey do a great job organizing these events and everyone else does a great job of being social and supportive. This time was no different.

Vice As If Launch Party

We were excited to receive an invitation to the official launch of Vice As If, Genevia Sawyer and Sade Teyibo’s styling and wardrobe consultation company. TPWP met the girls a month ago, and we were immediately won over by their vibrant personalities, positive outgoing approach to life, and - of course - their style. TPWP wishes Genevia and Sade nothing but success!

A Nightmare on Euclid Halloween

I haven’t worn a costume for Halloween in years, but this past Friday the ladies from Spicy Candy DC and I decided to take part in the festivities and go to Kate’s Nightmare on Euclid Halloween Party. We were childishly entertained by the party lasers and the fog, as you can tell by our pictures:

One of our favorite parts of fashion events in DC is meeting new creative people. Last week’s ReadysetDC Fashion:District Fall/Winter 2011 Meet & Greet at the Dunes was no exception.
