ReadysetDC - Fashion District SS 2012
We’re partnering with our friends at ReadysetDC to get you this season’s Fashion:District. Each week ReadysetDC will be giving away one ticket to their event. All you have to do? Follow ReadysetDC on Facebook to enter. For ticket purchase information visit: fashion.readysetdc.com.
This year ReadysetDC is also partnering with Uber to give you rides in style to and from the event:
Say goodbye to ruining heels searching for a cab, and say hello to a whole new way to travel. At the touch of a button or text message, Uber puts a private driver and a classy black sedan or SUV at your doorstep ready to take you anywhere you need to go.
The best part? We’re hooking up first time riders with $15 off their first trip. Use the promo code: ReadysetDCFashion at Uber.com or in the Uber iPhone/Android app to receive your discounted ride. On a Blackberry? Sign up at Uber.com then text your location to 827-222 to request a ride. Questions? Just email supportdc@uber.com.

We like how the exaggerated eyebrows on all the Espion models tie the looks together.

ReadysetDC Fall/Winter 2011 Meet & Greet

One of our favorite parts of fashion events in DC is meeting new creative people. Last week’s ReadysetDC Fashion:District Fall/Winter 2011 Meet & Greet at the Dunes was no exception. Although we didn’t have a chance to talk to many designers we had a fun time chatting with old friends and meeting new ones. Here are some of our pictures:

ReadysetDC Fashion:District Giveaway Winner from the DC Fashion & Beauty Blogger Meetup

Last night, Jordan (from ReadysetDC) and I attended the CapFABB meetup and had the difficult task of picking our favorite stylish blogger among so many to win a backstage pass to the upcoming Fashion:District runway show. Katherine Martinez’s asymmetrical reconstructed top (her own design) caught my eye, but we loved the entire outfit and her unique style (her beautiful hair and face didn’t hurt either). You can see more of her designs at her store La Petite Marmoset (We’re looking forward to a replenished inventory!). For more info on the ReadysetDC 3-day fashion events and for tickets click HERE
