ReadysetDC Fall/Winter 2011 Meet & Greet

One of our favorite parts of fashion events in DC is meeting new creative people. Last week’s ReadysetDC Fashion:District Fall/Winter 2011 Meet & Greet at the Dunes was no exception. Although we didn’t have a chance to talk to many designers we had a fun time chatting with old friends and meeting new ones. Here are some of our pictures:

A Crazy Weekend in Washington DC

If you haven’t noticed there’s a whole lot going on in DC this weekend. Be thankful you live here during (unprecedented) times like these and try to make as many of these events as possible!

  Duvel & Honest Tea will provide refreshments: 6:30 - 9:30pm
• ReadsetDC Fashion:District - Runway Show: 9pm to Midnight
• BaoHaus NYC pop-up at Toki Underground - MTV will be there filming - from 5 pm

Sunday, October 16th

• ReadysetDC Fashion:District - The Shop (local designers sell their wares): 2 - 6 pm

ReadysetDC 3-day Fashion:District Fall/Winter 2011

We have been a part of the ReadysetDC Fashion:District show since its inaugural event last year. Every season it gets better and better, and this one is no exception. The show has expanded to a 3-day event including a runway show, a meet-and-greet with the designers, and a day of shopping. All previous shows have sold-out, so we suggest getting your tickets as soon as possible. The events will feature the following local designers: Artaya, Cote Minou, DeNada Design, Derringer Friday, Durkl, Espion, Ginger Root Design, Hugh & Crye, SaintCHiC and Sika.

Designer Meet & Greet 7 pm to 11 pm
The Dunes 1402 Meridian Place NW Saturday. FREE with RSVP

Saturday, October 15th
Full Length Runway Show 9 pm to Midnight
Eastern Market North Hall 225 7th Street SE. $40 admission with OPEN BAR.

Sunday, October 16th

ReadysetDC Fashion:District Giveaway Winner from the DC Fashion & Beauty Blogger Meetup

Last night, Jordan (from ReadysetDC) and I attended the CapFABB meetup and had the difficult task of picking our favorite stylish blogger among so many to win a backstage pass to the upcoming Fashion:District runway show. Katherine Martinez’s asymmetrical reconstructed top (her own design) caught my eye, but we loved the entire outfit and her unique style (her beautiful hair and face didn’t hurt either).
