It’s Always Sunny in Los Angeles

Los Angeles, I love
the graze of your fingernails,
your slow sparklers of palm trees, your buildings silver
and inscrutable, in constant haze …
S. Beasley

happy to call this majestic succulent garden home for the week

Reading Yves Saint Laurent: Style by Hamish Bowles

The temptation to stay-in and read was ever-present

I wore this outfit to spend a stimulating evening of dinner, wine, and late-night conversation with Cuit (social media manager at BCBGMAXAZRIA) and his handsome and intellectual fiance Sam

I’m wearing a Zara quilted studded blazer with combined faux-leather sleeves, Alexander Wang dress, Céline Trapeze bag, Jimmy Choo Strap-Heels from Threadflip, Vabene black skull watch, and YSL red #1 lipstick

Love this polaroid of Botero‘s Mona Lisa in an antique frame

Developing an increased love for succulent gardening

Skipping and hoping to lunch at my favorite little health cafe Spoon (love their quinoa Mexicali salad and green goddess antioxidant smoothie)

I’m wearing a Zara Metal Neon Bib-Necklace, Seneca Rising Dress, and D&G Tortoise Shell Sunglasses

Yellow Mesh and Hemp Vintage Easy Spirit Sneakers (saw the same ones in blue at Meeps recently)

There is so much great food in LA; one of my favorite places is Gjelina in Venice Beach

Moroccan baked eggs with merquez sausage at Gjelina

The irresistible macaroons at Bottega Louie

An ornery South American Military Macaw – native to Bolivia :)

Indoor-outdoor living

Resting and battling a West Coast cold on a comfy Bertoia wire chair

During this busy trip to LA, I found some time to relax, sit outside (it really was always sunny), and read books. This was the perfect trip: new friends, great food, and a great place to stay.

If you are planning a trip to LA here are our recommendations (special thanks to the amazing Aureta - our LA guide):

Red Medicine
A modern Vietnamese restaurant with some of the most creative and delicious food I’ve ever eaten.
8400 Wilshire Blvd., Bevery Hills CA 90211

Church & State
Great French comfort food.
1850 Industrial St. #100, Los Angeles CA 90021

Bottega Louie
Grand decor, pizza, pastries and excellent macaroons
700 South Grand Ave., Los Angeles CA 90017

Glendale Pho Co.
The best Pho we ate in LA, or anywhere
102 S. Glendale Ave., Glendale CA 91205

Gjelina
The brunch here was amazing. The lamb burger may be the best we’ve ever eaten.
1429 Abbot Kinney Blvd., Venice CA 90291

Jin Patisserie
Adorable desserts and tea, with great outdoor seating.
1202 Abbot Kinney Blvd., Venice CA 90291

Thank you pretty! Those flats (I got them at Savers!) are the best, so comfortable they did pair up with everything so well. They had the same ones at Meeps in blue! they were a tiny size so they would probably fit you :)
