Don’t ask me what any of the above means, R, H, E, I don’t know the answer. I don’t actually really remember the final score, but The Nationals won!!! There were fireworks!!! YAY!!!

The celebration was so much fun. The metro ride from Gallery Place to the stadium took around 10 minutes, it was a breeze. The stadium is literally steps away from the station. The entrance was decorated with balloons.

There was a red carpet leading to the main entrance.

After you get through the gates there is this.

And an incredible and large 30m x 15m high definition screen.

This is the view towards the river.

One of the pre-game celebrations.

First pitch of the game (after the President's)

The hot little thing that stood in front of me in the field during half the game (Jeff Francoeur). Why and when did they get rid of the tight pants!!

I can't wait to go back to another game!!

Nationals Park Opening Celebration March 30 2008

I can't really tell you the difference between a dish and a hot corner. But I love a good party, and I am so excited to be attending the Opening Game of the Nationals Park. Located HERE:

There will be face-painting, there will be balloon artists, there will be stilt walkers, free Curly "W" lanyards and "Welcome Home" rally towels, there will be music, there will be hotdogs, Adrian Fenty will be there, Elliott Yamin will be there, the President will be there. Sounds like my kind of sporting event. Oh yeah, and we're playing the Braves.

Don't get too excited, the game is sold out, but I hear that Grandstand tickets for Opening Night, in Sections 401 and 402, may be purchased for $5 at the Nationals Park Main Box Office, located on Half and N Streets, beginning at 3:30 pm on March 30.

This is the stadium:

I will be sitting on the right side of the field and I've been told that the Braves power hitters are left handed and home runs will be flying towards me :) Wish me luck.
